Proteque is a non-prescription product. We always suggest seeing your dermatologist or physician, especially if using Proteque in combination with other prescription products.
Option #1:
Use Proteque Alone -- without a prescription product (No Steroids)
- Wash and dry area of the body to be protected and treated
- Apply sparingly only 2-3 times per day. Each application is usually sufficient for 15-20 washings or 4-8 hours, whichever comes first.
- DO NOT OVERUSE: Using more than 3-4 times per day may cause a feeling of stiffness or dryness. If that occurs, reduce frequency of use.
- If used on the face, one application per day is usually sufficient.
- Patients with chronic food or drug allergies should review ingredients.
- If any reactions occur, stop using and consult with your physician.
- After the skin condition improves use Protèque daily to prevent recurrence
- Safe for children -- all ages.
Option #2:
Use Proteque in
combination with prescription topical corticosteroid,
then after condition improves, for daily maintenance and prevention
- Apply 30 minutes after the prescription product, twice daily, or as directed.
- On hands, Proteque can be applied a third time, by itself, midshift or midday, for frequent handwashers (who wash 30-50 times per day).
- May be used on hands, body, feet, legs, thighs, buttocks and face.
- After the skin condition improves use Protèque daily to prevent recurrence .
